CS1 Course Site         Learning Journal What was helpful / not helpful ?   Not having a textbook.   It was helpful because I didn't have to spend the money to buy a book.   Without the book I knew exactly what I had to know because it was written out.   It wasn't helpful because having a book allows you to find things a little easier since you would have an index and a dictionary available.   It's difficult to look through your notes trying to find something.
