3) What is the most important information which is conveyed when you

cite an online source?

PART II

Consider the following terms:

1) Statistical Analysis Software
2) Neural Networks
3) Decision Support System
4) Knowledge Management System
5) Executive Information System

Then for each of the terms, answer (in your own words) the following questions:

A) What does the term mean?

B) What kinds of programs or software can do the task described by each term?

(Here you need to identify a particular software package.)

C) What functions do the programs or software perform ?

D) In what sort of situation would you adopt this software? From what you read about the software, would you use it at all in a business situation?

PLEASE NOTE: You must use a variety of sources (Internet and printed) for your answers and you should cite these sources. You should consult a librarian at Penfield Library to help you identify source material

PART III

1) Chose EITHER statistical analysis software or neural networks

2) Find AT LEAST four different vendors or manufacturers for the software. Collect data on: name of company, name of software package and price of software.

3) Place the information that you collected in a spreadsheet.

4) Using "predefined functions" determine: the lowest price, the highest price, the average price and

the sum of all the prices
