It has been a busy two months since our last update. Jemma is now just under
21 inches tall and weighs 41 pounds. She has lost all of her baby teeth -
just regular dog teeth now!
For the past several weeks Jemma has been a diligent student at a dog obedience course and has worked hard at all of her training exercises. Her graduation is scheduled for February 23 - pictures will follow!
A stuffed, nearly life-size Mallard Duck (called, appropriately, "Duck") is her favorite new toy. She is also getting along better with the cats. One of her favorite activities is visiting different departments at school where she can meet lots of new people. She must make a good impression because she keeps receiving invitations to visit.

|These are shots at her Jemma's last obedience class. Left to right, these show: Jemma heeling, behind her friend Sam; Jemma sitting while being distracted by Eric Louis, who runs the obedience class; Jemma doing a 'Stand for examination'; and Jemma getting her graduation ribbon from Eric, along with her friends Raider and Lucy.|| |
|And, finally, the proud graduate!|| |

|It is amazing and somewhat sad to see how much and how fast they grow. These two pictures contrast Jemma when she was a cute puppy just in the household and her today, standing next to the hassock she used to be smaller than! Then she was 12.5" tall and 16 pounds; now she is just under 21" and weighs in at 41 pounds. Thankfully, she is still cute!|| |
