Cog241 was added to our curriculum after our 2012 self-study. The intent was to add an alternative to the Csc241 course which is (1) a legitimate CS2 course, and (2) tailored to cognitive science students by virtue of examples and exercises, and a relentless focus on the implemention basic knowledge representations such as semantic networks, association lists, rule bases, and state space models, occasionally in the service of playing simple games.
