The offering from the anthroplogy to the cognitive science program when the cognitive science program was conceived. At some point,the anthropology department felt it could no longer offer the course on a regular basis, at which time we added the semiotics course (Cog444) as an alternative to Ant344, meaning that students are required to take one or the other.
