The neural networking course was established shortly after the cognitive science program was established, and was quickly promoted as a valuable learning agreement course. The course provides important balance to the program, which was designed from the start with an emphasis on symbolic computation. In one of the more recent revisions of the cognitive science curriclum, it was incoprorated as a requirement for BS students.
