The second in a two course symbolic AI sequence for computer science majors and cognitive science majors. A key course for BS students in cognitive science. This is a project oriented course. Students engage in a project that not only requires the writing of a symbolic AI program, but which also requires at least some experimentation with that program. Students write a paper on their work, based on highly constraind scaffoding that involves finding sources, compiling notes, articulating their program at various levels of abstraction, and incorplorating demos which illuminate accomplishments.
